Macon Waves Swim Team   

Team History

The Macon Waves Swim Team, a program of the Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation department and Macon Waves, Inc., has been in existence since 1975. The Recreation Department founded the Macon Waves swim team as a summer program in 1975. The next year the parents were asked to form an association to manage the team while the Recreation Department continued its sponsorship. Within a few years the team evolved into a year-round activity.
